I'm definitely a fan of this place! I order from Toss once a week and it is usually very good although the last time I ordered from here the food was terrible! It was all watered down and had no taste. I called them on it and the response was we've been getting that a lot lately. I'm not sure if they changed cooks or if they were just really busy the last time we ordered but we were very disappointed. We haven't ordered from here since and I'm not sure we will in the near future - totally bummed :(

The food is alright but if you like this food, check out china cafe next to Safeway. The food is 100xs better I promise!

This place gets NO stars! But the site made me pick at least one. First and LAST time ever ordering from this place. They have online ordering but apparently are not smart enough to know how to use it. They matched my phone number to someone else's order therefore I got home with the wrong order. Called them to explain the issue. They wanted me to bring the 'wrong' food back to them because the person it belonged to was at the restaurant to pick it up. Really?!?!?!? they were going to try to give this customer food that had been in my possession. BAD, BAD practice. They finally told me they would deliver my correct food and pick up the wrong food. I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. 25 mins later I call and the guy delivering my food is using a paper map to try to locate me. He doesn't have a smart phone. Seriously, you are delivering food for gods sake. So this guy finally shows up almost an hour after he left his restaurant with just one of the 3 entrees that I originally ordered. He wanted me to eat the wrong food and the one entree he brought. Mind you all of this food is now more than an hour old. I sent it all back with him. They have run my credit card and I have NO food. There will be legal consequences if my credit card is not refunded by Monday. Oh and the person I spoke to to give them my address didn't even know how to spell my street name which is a common ingredient that asian's always cook with. This place is a HUGE FAIL!! Never again.

We tried Toss on the recommendation of the hotel desk clerk. The food was fabulous and the service was fast and very friendly.

If eating in, it's reminiscent of a Taco Bell that was converted into a cheaper, cheesier restaurant, and the sodas are flat. However, the food I typically order makes up for the atmospheric deficiency. I recommend having food delivered. The mild sesame chicken never lets me down, along with some egg drop soup, but the chicken lo mein ranges from absolute perfection to dry, burnt-smelling leftovers. Overall, worth the occasional delivery. I wouldn't take a date for a sit-down dinner there, though.

Toss is officially my new go to Chinese restaurant for a number of reasons. -From what I have seen, Toss has the widest variety of dinner and lunch options including Kal Bi, which I adore. -All their soup, (sizzling rice for 2 is my favorite) have praiseworthy amounts of proteins and veggies. -The dragon & pheonix combo is something I'd never seen, they take two of their most popular dishes and combine a half portion of each! ** It is worth mentioning that the first time I drove there I got lost because their sign is not lighted, and the shop is "hidden" in the back corner of the parking lot. **

Oh my gosh this place is amazing, my family and I had gone here this past weekend, the food is such hot and fresh upon order and the service is amazing. I love the family feel in this place they are amazing. Great prices and you get ALOT of food!!!!

Best secret in Castle Rock! Excellent food, and I particularly like the Thai Peanut chicken and shrimp. Don't let the location (a little off the beaten path) fool you - these folks do a nice job. Other than the location, it mystifies me that it's pretty quiet in here. Good for me - my takeout orders are always done quickly!

So I currently don't live in Colorado but I ordered food online for my boyfriend. He love everything i got him today. I waited a few hours until they were open to order online but well worth it. My boyfriend love the pad thai, thai tea and cheese crab wonton. He said the shrimp in the pad thai and it tasted amazing. It was very well made and taste authentic for him. He was used to not so good quality or authentic chinese/thai food. He never ordered from this place so I had the chance to order from somewhere new for him. Overall, food was the best and should give it a try.

I'm amazed at some of the good reviews. This food was amazingly bad. The lady that helped me was very nice but the food wasn't even close to acceptable. I'll stick to Pho777 or the Chinese place on Founders by King Soopers. They are not great but definitely worth eating. We need a real Thai place in CR!!

We visited Toss Asian Cafe on Saturday night, and had a pretty good meal. We were looking to go out for Chinese food, since it's normally something we order in - and I'm glad we gave Toss Asian Cafe a visit. The food was fresh and much better than what we normally have delivered (from a different restaurant.) The place was nearly empty, but the phone rang off the hook - so clearly other customers decided not to come in that night! We had their Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Chicken -- both were great. The Kung Pao included lots of fresh veggies, and the Orange Chicken was crispy and tasty with steamed broccoli on the side. Everything was crisp and delicious. They were running a buy-one-get-one beer special so we had some actual Chinese beers to wash it all down. Very tasty! It's easy to overlook this place, hidden in the corner of an outdated strip mall, but if you seek them out I think the food is pretty good. We'll be back again.

My husband and I just ordered delivery from here for the first time. I ordered Pad Thai, that came with 2 shrimp in the whole order. No cilantro, bean sprouts, very few peanuts, and had HUGE globs of egg in it. It's a shame, because the sauce itself was pretty decent, and the two shrimp I got were big, and fresh.. so if they had just put a decent amount of shrimp, and other common components of Pad Thai, it would have been great. It arrived quickly, and hot. My husband had Szechuan beef, which was pretty good. Maybe I should have given them 3 stars.. but that said "A-OK" and it's not OK to get 2 shrimp for dinner. I guess you just have to know what to order, and Pad Thai is evidently not it. I'll give them another go with another dish, maybe.

Needed food for 20 people within the hour and called this place to order. We had our food delivers within 30 minutes and ended up feeding 30 people. The food was very good.

There are a few "ok" Asian joints around Castle Rock, but we tried this one online tonight. The predicted hour-long wait was more like 35 minutes, a nice surprise. The food was piping hot, the veggies fresh, the wontons, sweet and sour chicken, and egg rolls were crunchy, and the vegetables fresh. The wonton soup was a clear an nit over-salted broth. The Thai basil, was delicious, and the combo Lo Mein was unusually tasty. In short, this was an all around win. This is now our Castle Rock go-to Asian restaurant.

Maybe it's my own fault for ordering thai food there when the other reviews make it sound like this is more of a chinese restaurant, but their yellow curry was terrible. The service was excellent, but the food was awful.

Wow, some of the best Chinese food I've ever had! The sauce, the veggies, the meat, all clearly freshly made to order. And none of that infamous mystery meat or questionable chunks of chewy fried stuff. We got the 2 chicken dishes and the chicken is clean slices of white breast meat. Reminiscent of my grandmas chicken piccata. The veggies are crisp, and the sauces are perfect. None of that dried out, thick, sticky stuff with no flavor you find at so many places. We definitely found our new favorite place! The service was great too! Portions are appropriate for the price. We got the family meal that included soup, egg roll, wanton and an entree for $13.95 per person, and we both had leftovers to take home. It's not fancy inside, but that's not what matters when I'm looking for some delicious Chinese food. I can't find one negative thing to say about this place. It's a must try!

Pleasantly surprised... We enjoyed everything! I had the basil tofu. The tofu was cooked perfectly. I ordered medium spicy, and felt that it was more on the mild side. Great little gem!

First time ordering delivery and both the food and service was amazing. Best fried rice I have had in the Denver area! Not. Bad thing ordered.

So at first I wasn't sure I liked this place but after a few more tries it has become our favorite Chinese place in town. Way better than everywhere else.

I ordered combo fried rice and pad Thai pork delivered to my hotel room. The food was very mediocre. Not by any stretch good, but it filled me up. I wouldn't say it sucked, but there really wasn't anything good about it. Bland and the pad thai was greasy. The total of the bill was just over 20 dollars. So I give the old man who delivered the food two 20 dollar bills, and he gives me 15 back. I guess he just decided to hook himself up with a near 5 dollar tip. I asked him to give me the rest of my change, and he suddenly didn't speak English and acted all stupid on me. He pulls out a bunch of larger bills. I tell him to give me some ones, and he mysteriously didn't have any. I certainly planned on tipping the guy, but I did not appreciate him tipping himself on my behalf, and then acting stupid when I asked for the rest of my change. That angered me. Based on my experience, this restaurant wasn't too good. I suppose it has it's place.

To night was a bad night. No staff. Food was not hot. They were writing credit card no. down on old fashion papers.

This was our second time ordering Toss delivery. 30 minute delivery at 7pm on a Saturday night can't be beat, especially for a 50 cent delivery charge! The food is great! However, some could use more seasoning/spice, hence the 4 star review. The first time we ordered I tried the curry chicken and was not impressed with the curry spice or flavor. The food is fresh and hot upon delivery! Will continue ordering here for our Chinese food fix!

This place is so much better than the other Chinese restaurants in town! This was my first time and I will be going back! The service is great! I don't feel rushed and they aren't rude like some other places(cough south garden2 cough) It may be a few minutes from me and a little hard to find as it is tucked away in the corner but it is worth it! The restaurant is clean and modern looking. Although I got take out I wouldn't mind one of those cute little booths or tables. The food is just as good as anywhere else however I would say the chicken fried rice and crab cheese wontons are slightly better than the competitors. The price is the same as everywhere else but it (to me) is more worth the money when the servers are respectful and not trying to get you out the door. I'm so happy to have found this place!!

Oh - it hurts my stomach to think of eating here... Our chicken wasn't cooked all the way through. Based on the reviews here there must be two sets of cooks or something because the night we went was somewhere between mediocre to revolting.

We've been ordering carry out/delivery from Toss Asian for years. We enjoy their food, but I feel it has declined a bit over the last few years. But, like an earlier reviewer stated - you can't beat a 30 minute delivery time on a Saturday night. I am partial to their fried rice and hubby loves their hot and sour soup. I wish when you order a spicy dish - that it was actually spicy. I've tried ordering extra hot but continue to be disappointed. Maybe it's my aging taste buds, but who knows? All in all - decent for a last minute order in night.

The food here was absolutely below par. I had the coconut shrimp which came in a very lard-like thick coconut sauce which lacked any salt. There were only three large shrimp mixed in with the hoard of green and red bell peppers and carrots. I did not even eat half of my entree. I nibbled on my son's Thai Vegetable Basil dish and it was FAR from being anything Thai. This place was a total disappointment food, decor and price-wise.

I came here on a whim for lunch and was very skeptical when I walked in. There was no one in the place. I gave it a chance and ordered the lunch special which included Egg Drop Soup, Kung Pao Chicken with steamed rice and eggroll. It was delicious. the price was right too, it was only $7 for all the food. I will definitely be back with the fam.

I just found my new favorite Asian place to eat. I had the sesame chicken (which was awesome), and my kids enjoyed the food as well. Our server was extremely nice and took great care of us. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!!

Tonight was my first visit to Toss, and I was not disappointed! The Thai Drunken Noodles were delicious - just the perfect amount of spice and very flavorful. The portion was very generous, and I have plenty left over for lunch tomorrow! Online ordering was simple, and my order was ready on time as promised. I will definitely be returning.

We've tried Toss and Tasty House for delivery in Castle Rock, and Toss was far superior even though it was a couple dollars more. The kung pao had plenty of fresh veggies and the orange chicken had real orange peel in the sauce. If you're looking for greasy/salty/artificial (sometimes you need that when you're hungover) then Tasty House might fit the bill. I think we'll be ordering from Toss from now on though.

Giving this place 5 stars on principal, and to balance out the hyper critical dopes who **think** they know Chinese food. The service, courtesy and friendly staff are amazing. The food, while not a 10, is not remotely as others are making it out to be. I'd rate it a 6.9. First, my qualifications: Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where I grew up with 9 Chinese takeout places every square mile. Recently went back to that neighborhood on a visit and 80% of the store fronts are written in Chinese (I don't mean just the restaurants, I mean the cleaners, the newsstand, the bank). A few street signs too. Growing up, we ate Chinese takeout 2 days a week, my first 25 years. Most of these Chinese "takeout kitchens" (as Chinese takeouts are referred to in NYC/Brooklyn) are a 17 on a scale of 1-10. With this high concentration of Chinese restaurants nearby, they're in combative, survival mode, they CAN'T afford to suck. THAT'S how good it is. Qualified? Incredibly. Back to the restaurant. I have to say, the fact that you people are looking for really good Chinese in a strip mall in Castle Rock Colorado and acting like you're the authority on it, is not only unfair, but it's freaking hilarious. Thank you for the laugh. No, really. Now that that's out of the way, the food is tasty and fresh. The service is bar none, theeee best you're gonna find anywhere. These people bend over backwards for you, they're fast, accurate and they're FRIENDLY beyond belief. They remember you! Even when you haven't had a chance to get there in a month or two (we travel a lot) You wanna talk about consistent? I've been to this place like 15 times and every last of my experiences was identical. You're not gonna get this kind of attention and courtesy even by dropping $200 at a nice place. Not gonna happen. Ambience? Are you people kidding? Is that what you're looking for in a neighborhood, family owned Chinese restaurant? Again, you're showing your newbie side! Stop! If you want the Martini, GoogleGlass crowd (nothing wrong with that, I love that) you're looking in the wrong place, and for that, blame your OWN expectations. Everyone knows (except maybe for you) that the best Chinese restaurants are those little hokey joints with fans and dragons hanging everywhere. Love it! This is just that. A cute, simple, humble, friendly warm atmosphere to share a quiet, decent (remember.. you're not in Chinatown - chill) dinner with your kids. Family friendly. Like i said, it's YOUR fault if this place falls short of what you made it in your mind. You probably think Panda is authentic, and PF Chang's has ambience. I'll keep going here for the next 20 years. And when I want real Chinese food, I'll wait till my next visit to family back in New York City! Ignore the fake Chinese Food critics and go here - you won't be sorry!

We were staying at La Quinta and found Toss's. The for was great, and the service was super nice. The food took just a couple minutes longer than the 20 minutes promised, so I had a very short wait at the front (I walked over from the hotel). Despite the acceptable wait, the owner still decided to give us free wonton and sugar puffs. It was very nice. We just moved to Denver, and we'll definitely be back.

It surprises me this doesnt have good reviews. For me, im glad ive eaten here before reading reviews. Ive been here several times, and have enjoyed it each time. In fact, i wont eat any other chinese places in castle rock but here. The chicken curry is delish. My husband loves the orange chicken. And the wontons are even great.

I love this place. I work in town and their delivery service is excellent. Their General Tso beef is excellent , very crispy. Face it, Chinese is basically the same no matter where you go. Easier for me to identity bad over good but this is always fresh and delicious. Today I had time and ate inside. Place is simple, modern furniture and clean. Don't be afraid to eat here

Though my first experience wasn't the best, they have certainly turned around after that. The food is good, the people are nice. It's a great place to go for really good Asian food.

Tonight was my first visit to Toss, and I am only sorry that I don't live in Castle Rock! I had Thai Basil Chicken, recommended by the waiter when I couldn't make up my mind. It was the perfect level of spice, a generous portion, and loaded with veggies. Great food, great service!

Food was delivered fast, was hot and pretty damn good. I would order from here again no doubt. Hunan beef and potstickers were awesome.

We ordered the Singapore Noodles and the Hong Kong Style Noodles. The Singapore Noodles were good. The Hong Kong Noodles was loaded with very salty sauce which made the dish inedible. The service was marginal. They were friendly but very busy and kept apologizing. Our beer was delivered warm (had to ask for ice). Tables that were dirty when we arrived were still dirty when we left. They need to better staff the front room.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
